Dr. Claudio Jaffé, the renowned cellist, has been hailed by The New York Times as "an elegant and accomplished artist." His virtuosity, characterized by "taste, technique, musicianship, and contagious youthful enthusiasm," has left audiences spellbound. He has graced prestigious concert halls worldwide, including Weill Recital Hall, Kennedy Center, and Wigmore Hall, among others.
Jaffé's orchestral debut at the age of 11 marked the beginning of a remarkable journey. As an educator, he has conducted master classes worldwide and held positions at esteemed music institutions.
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Dr. Jaffé's musical journey began at the age of seven. He continued his studies under the tutelage of distinguished mentors, earning his undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees from Yale University. His dedication to the cello led him to study with masters such as Yo-Yo Ma, Lynn Harrell, and Janos Starker.
