A Lenten Prayer
Lord, during this Lenten season, nourish and sustain us with your living word.
Remove all distractions and make us complete with you, in love and prayer.
Keep us from sin, and help us hold fast to your commandment of love.
By your spirit, help us discern right from wrong in readiness to please you.
Look beyond our imperfections and hear our prayers.
Enlighten and protect us, for your name's sake.
Provide us tools that make us the best we can be.
Enriching our minds and souls, in readiness for your service.
Remove our blindness so that we may see those in need.
Prepare for us strong defenses against our weaknesses.
Sustain and watch over us during life's sweet journey.
encourage us to set aside our will, so that your will, will be done.
Make us leave behind our negative attitudes.
Instead, help us to embrace your love with gratitude.
As we seek your forgiveness by performing acts of penance.
Lead us to a cause and cure, that draws us close to you, in love.
