Lenten Prayers: Tuesday in the First Week of Lent

Prayers and reflections for Lent from members of the St. MM&M community

March 08, 2022

Good Morning Lord

Good Morning Lord.

I see you as your light glistens on the leaves that then creates the shadows on the ground.

I feel you as the gentle breeze makes its sound in your Earthly Kingdom and renders a cooling

moment despite the heat of the sun.

But then, Lord, the responsibilities of ‘to do’ creeps into the Grace you greeted me with a

moment ago. Your presence is known as we celebrate the joyful changes life brings. However,

grant me the awareness of your Grace despite my dwelling in the painful changes in this life’s

journey.

I see you as you hung on the Cross, not as the crucified, but as the Christus Rex. Please help

me, us, all your children to understand the forgiveness, the freedom, the beloved endurance

you have shown us through time eternal.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
