Lenten Prayer

In the name of the Father whose wisdom is always present to guide us if we will but listen.

In the name of the Son, Jesus Christ, whose heart of love was given for us freely laying down a plan showing us how to love one another.

And in the name of the Holy Spirit whose gentle breeze softly shares the grace and mercy of the Lord to all who wish to be enfolded in it we pray.

Dear Lord,
We pray in thanksgiving for the many and unending gifts we receive daily. For the sunrise that welcomes the gift of light. For rainbows of love stretched across the sky. For the rain falling softly on our fields to feed a hungry world. For the water, we need to drink given to us in lakes and rivers. And most of all, for the love of Jesus Christ shared with us by those who knew him.
Amen
