Hello Parents!
Can you believe that summer is coming to an end? Time to start thinking......Back to School!
The Preschool open house is for ALL students on Monday, August 16th from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Students and parents are invited to come to meet the teachers, explore their classroom, fill out paperwork, and ask as many questions as you'd like (don't worry; it will be a socially distanced event, and please don't forget to wear your masks)! We will start off in the church and then go into the preschool.
During this open house time please plan on a few things:
- Bring (2) medical forms for your child. One is a school entry form and the other is an immunization form which you will need to get from your child's pediatrician. For those returning students, please make sure they are updated. You will be notified by me if your child's forms are about to expire.
- Fill out additional paperwork. We do have a new website, https://stmmcs.net/, that has some of these forms that you can download & print if you would prefer to fill them out at home and bring them in. Otherwise, the forms will be available for you to fill out during this time.
- VPK Eligibility forms, if you have not handed them in yet. If you still have not applied, please go to Florida's Early Learning Family Portal website as soon as possible, https://familyservices.floridaearlylearning.com.
- Pay your registration fee or VPK donation if you have not yet done so.
- If you are interested, purchase a preschool T-shirt for $12. These are worn on school Spirit Days and on field trips.
- Tuition is due; this payment covers August 2021 and June 2022, since they are both short months. Starting in September there will be nine additional payments due on the first of each month.
We provide all the necessary classroom supplies; however if it is possible, we ask you to donate the following:
3/4-Year-old students in Mrs. Jimena's class -
- Package of baby wipes
- Package of plain, 5 oz. bathroom cups
- Package of Quart size Ziplock type bags
- Hand sanitizer
VPK students -
- Package of plain, paper 5-ounce bathroom cups
- Rectangle size box of tissues
- Clorox/Lysol type disinfecting wipes
- Hand sanitizer
First Day of School:
If your child is in Mrs. Jimena's 3-day (M/W/F) or 5-day a week class, their first official day of school will be on Wednesday, August 18th. This is the same day Broward Public schools start.
If your child is in Mrs. Jimena's 2-day (T/Th) a week class, their first official day of school will be on Thursday, August 19th.
If your child is in VPK, their first official day of school will be on Wednesday, August 18th.
