When I was hungry you gave me something to eat

Did you see the recent article in the SunSentinel about working-class families in our area? Increasingly, working-class families are finding themselves on the verge of homelessness.

The issues are complex and there is no one easy way to solve the problem of homelessness, but we can help alleviate some of the sufferings that it causes and support organizations that help tackle the systemic issues at the root cause of homelessness. Throughout St. MM&M's history, our community has provided support and relief to those facing the crisis of homelessness.

We currently partner with Hope South Florida and Our Father's House to serve the homeless and also try to help families find housing and become self-sufficient. We do this through financial support and providing food for feeding programs and other items such as clothing, shoes, etc. You will also find members of St. MM&M volunteering weekly to serve meals, sort and pass out clothing, and perform other needed tasks.

St. MM&M also provides emergency assistance to families with young children. In the last year, we have helped provide baby items, clothing, food and gas assistance, and even a computer for a young woman who could not attend in-person studies because of her health issues. Our Grant Program provides opportunities for other non-profit organizations to receive funding to support their work. St. Mary Magdalene and St Martin's strives to make a difference in our local communities and we invite you to be a part of the change!

Only through the continued support of our friends and members can we give back to the community in such impactful ways and we invite you to join us!

Come and serve with us.
