Denise Bouyea

This will be my 39th year as a member of St. Mary Magdalene’s congregation.  All through my youth, my family was anchored by our church.

My dad was on the vestry, my mom was with the Episcopal Church Women’s group, my sisters and I all sang in the choir and my brothers were all Acolytes.  It was always a “family-centered” Episcopal Church.

The love and caring support and sharing from old and new members have made St. M&M’s my church home all these years.  I’ve experienced 5 priests, the loss of my daughter and mother, my divorce, open-heart surgery, and in most recent years, introducing my grandkids to the Lord’s house and watching them grow and flourish here.  They love St. M&M and being involved.  I pray that through all their life’s joys and trials, their foundation that was started here will carry them through happy, successful lives!  I feel you have to choose to connect and become an active part of God’s Home.
