The Season of Giving is Upon Us

Jesus is the light of the world. He says in Matthew 5 that we now carry His light and are called to shine His light for others to see Him.

I am reaching out to you during this season of giving because our brothers and sisters at the Jubilee Center are in dire need of financial assistance. Recently, the City of Hollywood began citing the Center with numerous code enforcement citations, which could cause this beloved Center to close its doors.

For those of you unaware, the Jubilee Center is a nonprofit organization that has been servicing the homeless population in our Broward County community for 27 years. Throughout this time, the Center has been a haven by providing meals, clothing, medical, and legal assistance to those in need. On a weekly basis, they assist approximately 170 people. The Episcopal Church of Saint Mary Magdalene and Saint Martin has started a special collection and will be making a contribution, and I ask that you join us is supporting this ministry.

The money collected will be used to make the necessary updates to the facility and will ensure that they are in compliance with the City of Hollywood. Any contribution – no matter how small, can help.

Please indicate Jubilee in the memo field of check donations or in the memo field in Zelle. You can give by Zelle by sending donations to .

Faithfully,

Fr. Lee+
